Before/After School Club

The Cheeky Monkeys Day Nursery are currently collecting children from Earls Colne Primary and St Peters Primary in Coggleshall at lunchtime and/or end of the school day.

The children will then have access to a messy play area, our garden facilities or an indoor area. In addition we provide a quiet “homework” room for those children who want to finish homework before they go home.

The children will have tea at 4 o’clock, which could be anything from beans on toast, tuna jacket potato or a selection of sandwiches.

Children attending prior to school will be provided breakfast at 08:00, this comprises of cereal and toast which is a good start to any academic day!!.



Mini bus adventures

Since purchasing the Cheeky Monkey mini bus in September 2010 the nursery is able to make full use of it between school pick up times.

The children at the Cheeky Monkey Nursery would already have been for a picnic and a forest experience at Marks Hall estate, a fantastic site that we regularly attend.

We also utilise it to attend a Reggio art workshop in Colchester, which allowed the children to experiment with different media to create great artwork followed by a picnic at Colchester castle!

Best of all we took two trips of children to Aladdin the pantomime at Christmas!! (Just before Father Christmas came to visit us!)

We are currently waiting for funding for two members of staff to attend forest school training, and then we will use the mini bus to take the children on weekly forest school adventures. With a minibus of our own it’s great to get out and about and learn!
